Pediatric Anesthesia Associates Medical Group

Pediatric Anesthesia Associates Medical Group (PAAMG) is a multi-specialty private practice, based at Valley Children’s Hospital (VCH) in Madera, California. 

For more than 50 years, PAAMG has provided comprehensive Pediatric Anesthesiology services to the children of the San Joaquin Valley and has provided Pediatric Critical Care and Medical Directorship at VCH since 1985. The 42 bed PICU provides a full range of care, including postoperative Cardiac Care, Trauma and ECMO services. 

In 2014, PAAMG expanded its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit coverage and Medical Direction to the 8 bed PICU at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Since its formation in 1971, PAAMG has experienced sustained growth to meet the increased demand as Valley Children’s Healthcare expands. PAAMG is currently composed of 24 anesthesiologists and 16 Pediatric Intensivists that on average perform up to 19,000 anesthetics and 1500 ICU admissions annually.

As a regional referral center, PAAMG provides care to patients from a 45,000 square mile region of Central California, serving more than 1.3 million children. Valley Children’s Hospital is currently licensed for 358 beds and is an American College of Surgeons Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
